Checked and still genuinely unresolved — the insolvency has not concluded. Spark Networks Services GmbH, which owns Zoosk along with Christian Mingle, JDate, JSwipe, EliteSingles and SilverSingles, was placed under preliminary insolvency administration by a Berlin court in January 2026 after its US lender and equity holder MGG Investment Group withdrew funding, and filed Chapter 15 in the US to have those proceedings recognised. The administrator intends to sell the assets while the sites keep running, but as of the most recent reporting no buyer has been confirmed. Whoever ends up owning these brands is still being decided.
