The CCAA process finished in June 2026 and split the company three ways: the Toys "R" Us Canada and Babies "R" Us Canada names and trademarks went to Ad Populum, a US firm; the operating business — ten store leases, inventory, equipment, logistics and bank accounts — went to a company owned by Doug Putman, the existing Canadian owner; and one Vaughan Mills lease went to Fox Group Jumbo Canada. So the stores you can shop at are Canadian-owned, operating a US-owned brand under licence.
