Founder and Canadian backing confirmed by two independent sources agreeing (BetaKit, Goodmans LLP's tech blog) plus the company's own about page. Same pattern as Modaselle: the appliance brands it resells (LG, Samsung, KitchenAid) are foreign-owned, but the money from a resale goes to a Canadian company rather than the manufacturer.
