Founded in California in 2000 but no longer American-controlled. Acquired in 2018 by Germany's ProSiebenSat.1 through its NuCom/Parship arm, and now held by ParshipMeet Group, roughly 55% ProSiebenSat.1 and 45% General Atlantic (a US private equity firm) — so a substantial US minority sits under a European majority. As of December 2025, ProSiebenSat.1 itself is about 75.6% controlled by Italy's MFE-MediaForEurope, adding another layer above it. Not US-controlled and not Canadian.
