The name says Canada and the brand genuinely started there — invented in Toronto in 1904 by John J. McLaughlin — but it has not been Canadian-owned since 1986, when it went to Cadbury Schweppes (UK). US-owned since the 2008 Dr Pepper Snapple split, and part of Keurig Dr Pepper (NASDAQ: KDP) since the 2018 Keurig merger.
