Canadian-founded, US-owned. Blondo is a Quebec boot brand that goes back to 1910. Steven Madden, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SHOO) bought the Blondo intellectual property and related assets from Montreal's Regence Footwear in January 2015 (Steve Madden's own press release, plus trade coverage). Steve Madden's FY2025 10-K still lists Blondo among its footwear brands. Earlier signs pointing to Caleres were wrong; the owner is Steve Madden.
